How to Stop Slip Reminders for Cancelled Events

You may have have messaged parents regarding this and they are aware the event is no longer going ahead. At EdSmart we want to ensure you have closed the loop on the excursion slip process.

IF you have NOT set an “End date” on your Slip, the reminders that were previously saved for that excursion will continue to be sent to parents who have not yet responded.

To avoid parents receiving this reminder to respond to an excursion that is no longer going ahead, Simply go into your original slip > Click Action > Set / Update Closing date.

A window will appear where you can select a closing date for the slip, we recommend you select yesterday so that the slip closes straight away and parents are unable to respond to that event moving forward.
