Creating a Student List from Slip Responses
Overview
This article will guide you through creating a Student List based on Slip Responses.
Use Case examples:
Creating a Student List for Convenience:
You’ve individually sent a Slip to students and now wish to compile them into a single list to simplify future communications.Tracking Media Consent Responses:
You’ve sent a Slip to a group of students to gather media consent. Families who have responded with consent can be organized into a separate student list to reflect this.Managing Event Interest Responses:
You’ve sent a Slip to gauge interest in an event. Families who express interest can be grouped into a newly created list to streamline planning and communication as the event approaches.
If your Student Lists are created via Import from a Student Management System, your list may be made ‘inactive’ following your next data sync. You can reactivate this list by following the steps outlined in How to reactivate Student Lists
Instructions
Go to ‘Parent/Student Slips’ in your left-hand navigation panel in EdSmart
Select ‘View’ on the Slip you want to create the Student List from

Once selected, a pop-up will appear with a drop-down option list to select the group of Students you would like to create the list for:

Once you’ve chosen your preferred option from the drop-down list, click the blue ‘Create List' button
