Absentee Slip Status: Queued (Processing)

Overview

A troubleshooting guide and next steps for when a Slip is stuck in Queued (Processing).

DECYP DSI will contact your school if there are any missing Parent/Guardian details in EdSmart.

 Instructions

Whilst Viewing the Parent/Guardian Response, you may notice that a Slip’s Status hasn’t changed to Sent and is reflecting as Queued (Processing). This means that the Slip has not been sent due to one of the following reasons:

  • A student does not have a Parent/Guardian in EdSmart

  • A student has a Parent/Guardian in EdSmart, but they have no contact details (Mobile number or email address)

To review which Student has not had their Parent/Guardian advised of their Unexplained Absence, follow the steps below.

  1. Click the grey icon in the ‘View’ column alongside the corresponding Slip.

  2. Whilst within the Slip, click on the blue hyperlink reflecting the relevant Absentee details alongside ‘Student List(s)’

  1. This will take you to the ‘Student List’ view for this Absentee Slip and reflect the relevant Student(s) in this list. Click the grey icon in the ‘View’ column for the corresponding Student.

  1. This will take you to the Student’s Profile page. From here, you will see either:

  • The Contact Tab for the Student reflects (0), meaning there is no Parent/Guardian for the Student in EdSmart

  • The Contact Tab for the Student will reflect (1) advising that a Parent/Guardian is reflecting in EdSmart, but when clicking the tab, you will see that the Parent/Guardian has no contact details (Mobile number or email address) to be notified of the Absentee.
