Schools can now delete Student and Contact Attributes from their EdSmart account . They can be accessed from the settings page.
Click on the attribute type that needs to be deleted, a separate page will open with a list of all the attributes used by the school. A delete button is available at the end of each row, when this is clicked a warning message is displayed that the attribute will be deleted permanently and cannot be retrieved.
Schools should use this feature only when they are certain that the attribute is no longer required. Many times data through attributes are collected from parents at the beginning of the year and used by staff all year round.
All the attributes created by School manually and from the SQL view can be deleted, however if the SQL view is not modified the attributes are created again when the overnight sync is run.
