  • Digital Communication is much less formal; more personal
  • Get to the point and keep attention
  • Attention is MUCH shorter when viewing digital material
  • Its free! Use HEADINGS, Colour, white space.
  • Understand the power of a templates and the benefit of familiarity for the parent
  • Start with the end in mind. "What do I need from the parent" . This will make your export data much  more powerful and easy to use.
  • Seperate the information that you are providing and the question you wish the person to respond to.
  • Make each question short and clear.
  • Remember the user experience. Use required fields appropriately.
  • Where possible provide a selection of options for the staff or parent to choose from in a question. This assists when trying to collate responses.
