Changing or Editing your SMS Text Message 'From' Name (supported in some countries)

Text messages sent from an unfamiliar or anonymous sender have a higher chance of being ignored by the recipient, even if the message references their child.

In some countries it is possible to replace the 'From' name that displays with a more friendly alphanumeric substitute.

If you are an EdSmart Administrator, you can view your current SMS Text Message From Name on your Configuration page. Click your user name at the top right, then Settings. On the Settings page click the Configuration option. The default SMS 'From’ name is EdSmart.

To change/update your school’s ‘From' name, please contact help@edsmart.com. We will ensure your new name is registered correctly with our secure provider, so your text messages get processed as expected. The name can be up to 11 characters, numbers and letters, with no spaces.
