Update to Schoolbox & EdSmart Integration Configuration

To enhance the security of our Schoolbox and EdSmart authentication we’ve updated the way we configure the integration and have augmented our authentication. This also requires a change to be managed by the school, please see below.

Update Details

1. Changes to the Schoolbox integration to open EdSmart in a new window/tab instead of an iframe inside the Schoolbox app.

2. This allows EdSmart to positively authenticate each forms request.

3. The complete update requires schools to change their Destination URLs in Schoolbox to take advantage of this by adding "/window" to all EdSmart URLs.

Instructions

1. Select Administration from Profile icon

2. Personalisation > Side Menu

3. Menu Items > Select EdSmart

4. Modify the Menu item by adding “/window”

5. Set destination target as New Window

6. This can be set for Students, Parents and staff roles.
