Broadcast Statistics queries from Schools for communication sent to multiple Students from the same family

Currently, there are discrepancies in how Student names are being displayed in the Broadcast Statistics page in the platform; the below scenarios should explain the reasons for the same.

Only one Student name from the family will be displayed in the statistics tab if

  • Only one contact is associated with a Student profile.

  • Two or more contacts are associated with the Student profile, and they all have different email addresses.

Both Students from the family are displayed in the statistics tab if the

  • Contacts associated with the Students of a family are using the same email address.

  • One of the contacts associated with the Students of a family is missing the email address

 

In both these scenarios, both Student names are displayed and counted in statistics however only one email is being sent. For all other siblings that have contacts with different email addresses only one of them in being shown and counted in the statistics page. This explains the difference in the numbers.

 

Note: In all these scenarios only one email is being sent to the family when a Broadcast is to sent to multiple students of a family

An improvement request has been raised to show all Student names in the statistics tab for all scenarios, until that is implemented, the above article can be used as a reference
