pixevety is the leading global privacy-compliant photo management platform in the education market for reducing staff risk and improving a school’s overall media compliance. Photo Management – created and powered by pixevety – is a hassle-free integration that feeds into the EdSmart platform, delivering schools with a private, individually locked-down, bespoke online media gallery providing up-to-date consent information.

Simply use an EdSmart Form to collect your parent photo/video consent and the data is then securely transferred into your School Gallery on the pixevety platform. From here, all the ‘heavy lifting’ – student identification, consent management, the ability to search and filter photos based on consent before sharing, and so on – occurs without you having to intervene.

School prerequisites for Photo Management

Your school needs to be a pixevety customer before you can turn on Photo Management. To organise a pixevety account, please reach out to help@edsmart.com and we will lead you through the process. If you already have a pixevety account, we can integrate pixevety with EdSmart for you.

Note, if your school is on the EdSmart Transform package, you can turn on Photo Management at no extra charge from EdSmart.

Configuring Photo Management in the Parent slip

When a school sets up a Parent Slip (a Form to parents), they can configure Photo Management by using the Form Template Designer.

  1. The Photo Management Pixevety Consents field is available in the Parent section of the Form Designer.

  2. Users can drag the Pixevety Consents field and place it into the Parent section for the parents to fill out. No additional work is required by the school - the Consent Questions have already been written. Unlike other EdSmart Form Designer fields, the Pixevety Consents field cannot be edited.

3. Once the Pixevety Consents field is added to the Template, the user can send the Slip to the parents.

Parent Response

When the parent receives the Slip, they can see their current Access and Publishing Settings for Photo Management stored on the pixevety platform. They have the option to change the permissions for their account, but they don’t have to change them if they are happy with the settings as they are.

Currently, there are seven Access Settings and six Publishing Settings in pixevety Photo Management. The images below show some of those Permissions.

 

If any of the Permissions are changed, parents will review the updates and then submit them.

Changing the settings in the EdSmart Form will update the settings stored in pixevety Photo Management.

Reporting

Staff members will not be able to edit the changes made by the parents. Staff will have control over the EdSmart-related fields in the Parent Response.
