'My Forms' EdSmart login for New Parents of Schools with SAML SSO when using Parent Initiated Forms (PIF)

Schools with SAML SSO that allow parents to log in to Schoolbox using their SSO have access to EdSmart Forms. Alternatively, new parents that do not have access to these school provided details now have the option to create a new EdSmart ‘My Forms’ account, in order to be able to fill out Parent Initiated Forms e.g. Enrolment Forms.

This functionality is only relevant for Schools with SAML SSO login option.

The following instructions walk through the configuration steps required to enable this functionality within a Parent Initiated Form Template.

  1. Navigate to Form Templates and choose any Parent Initiative Forms

  2. Click “Edit”

     

  3. You’ll notice currently “Allow use without using school single sign-on” is not enabled yet.


    To change this setting, click “Edit Form”

  4. Scroll down to the option “Allow use without using school single sign on” and select “Yes“


    Next, click “Save Form”

  5. Now the option “Allow use without using school single sign-on” has been enabled (tick)

  6. You may use the URL to redirect you to the EdSmart login page.


    Finally, parents can choose from 3 options:

    • “School Sign In” which redirects them to the School’s SSO login page

    • “Create New Account” which allows the parent to create a new My Forms Account

    • “EdSmart Sign-In” allows the parents who have an existing EdSmart Account to sign in to EdSmart’s My Forms page and submit any forms.
