📔 Overview

The Department of Education for Children and Young People is using a new product for messaging, EdSmart, which is being rolled out in interactions during Term 1 2024.

EdSmart will be used for messaging and will be mandatory state-wide. EdSmart will be replacing MGM Wireless (and any other messaging products).

EdSmart is an Australian communication and workflow platform trusted by hundreds of schools to improve communication in the school community. EdSmart is a cloud-based software that enables schools to handle all communication with parents electronically. It will mainly be used to manage absences and other messaging for phase one of the project.

The EdSmart and DECYP Project will be delivered in four phases during 2024.

  • Phase one includes the ability for schools to manage student absences and send parents and guardians pre-approved broadcast communications.

  • All DECYP schools have been provided with their own EdSmart Site.

For more information about the rollout schedule or the DECYP EdSmart Messaging Project, please look at [insert link to DECYP intranet page].
