A step-by-step guide to Sending a Broadcast from ‘Dashboard’ to ‘Send’. Currently, Templates are managed by DECYP. There are pre-loaded Broadcast Templates provided in EdSmart for your school to use.

Select ‘Broadcasts’ from the panel on the left-hand side

Update the title of the Broadcast, select relevant student lists to send the Broadcast to and advise what date/time you’d like the Broadcast to be sent via the appropriate sections

Update the body of the Broadcast via the ‘Email’ Section and the relevant SMS version via the 'SMS section

Note: This will not be relevant if the Broadcast you have selected is ‘Locked by Head Office’ as it is a preset template. |

Optional: If you would like, you can include a file on a Broadcast. To do this, select the green '+ Add Files…' button.

Click the blue ‘Next’ button at the bottom of the page

The Broadcast will now resemble ‘Draft’ for review before being queued to be sent. Use this opportunity to ensure the following details are correct:
- Audience/Recipients
- Spell Check & Wording
...
- Delivery Method (Email, SMS or both)
...
After review, if the details are correct, click the green ‘Queue Broadcast to Send’ button
